Anthony Mastrogiacomo, DPM, ACCPPS Biography
Dr. Anthony Mastrogiacomo was born on August 20, 1970 in Detroit, Michigan. He grew up Downriver in Southgate, Michigan, the middle son of mother Linda from Detroit and father Patrick whom immigrated for Ceccano, Italy in 1956. He grew up in a hard-working home and worked in the family business of Masonry Construction until leaving for college.
Dr. Mastrogiacomo graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Southgate, Michigan in 1988. He attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He moved to New York City where he received his doctorate in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1996. He completed his education by serving one year post-graduate preceptorship with Highland Milford Foot Specialist in Milford, Michigan.
He became associated with Dr. Harvey Lefkowitz in June of 1997 at both the Ferndale and Milford offices. He has since moved to Milford where he opened a new office with Dr. Lefkowitz in the neighboring city of Commerce Township in the spring of 2000.
Dr. Mastrogiacomo earned his Board Certification in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery from the American Council of Certified Podiatric Physicians and Surgeons in 1999. He maintains hospital privileges at several area hospitals.
He is an avid geography buff and enjoys traveling for exploration and is also an accomplished skier. When at home, he can be found spending time with family and friends or working on his golf game.
