Anthony Giordano, DPM
Biography

Dr. Anthony Giordano was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on August 22, 1972. He grew up in the town of Exeter, PA, about 1-½ hours north of Philadelphia. Dr. Giordano is the oldest of three children, with a younger sister and brother who still reside in Pennsylvania. His father Ross is a self-employed business owner, and his mother Margaret has been a bank teller for many years. Growing up, Dr. Giordano spent most of his spare time working for his dad, and on the food service side of a local country club until he started college. It was during these high school years dealing with the public that Dr. Giordano learned the importance of customer service, his naturally friendly demeanor made dealing with the public, a natural fit. Dr. Giordano graduated from King's College, Wilkes-Barre, PA, with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. He took a one-year hiatus between college and medical school to help his father in the family business. He then moved to Philadelphia where he lived for four years receiving his medical degree from Temple University's College of Podiatric Medicine graduating in the top twenty percent in his class.

Dr. Giordano spent the next two years in Providence, Rhode Island where he completed a surgical residency at Roger Williams Medical Center, associated with both the Boston University and Brown University's schools of medicine. Despite being offered several positions to enter the work force, and much to the dismay of his wife, Mary Ann he relocated to Canton, Michigan to serve two additional years of surgical training in the Oakwood Hospital System, associated with Wayne State University School of Medicine, It was here that the good doctor advanced his surgical skills of both simple and complex foot and ankle disorders.

Following 4 years of residency, Dr. Giordano spent 2 ½ years in private practice in the New Baltimore area. As opportunity knocked he joined Dr.'s Lefkowitz and Jupin in May of 2006. Dr. Giordano enjoys the academic aspects of his profession. He currently lectures across Michigan, and has been involved with the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association Conference Committee, since 2003.

He is happily married to his wife, Maryann, who keeps herself busy in her vocation as insurance benefits consultant for McGraw-Wentworth in Troy, Michigan. Their chocolate Labrador retriever is their only child at the moment. Dr. Giordano is a dedicated and talented musician, playing three instruments since he was six years old. When not spending time with his family or working, he enjoys writing and listening to music, reading, and staying in shape.
